Professor J. Karabiberov:
Youth depends on:
1st Muscle mass;
2nd Muscular strength;
3rd Metabolic rate
4th Cardio exercises
In the fourth edition of the educational studio "We will meet at the top", Professor Julian Karabiberov explains why mental fatigue is more dangerous than physical fatigue for an athlete. The athletics and conditioning teacher at the Vasil Levski National Sports Academy emphasizes that nutrition is extremely important for athletes. He warns that weight training should not begin until 13-14 years of age.
Karabiberov is adamant that the muscles around the "core" (abdominal, back and lumbar) are the most often neglected by athletes.
And they are second in importance after the heart, because that is where the energy starts.
Karabiberov advises coaches to always have doubts, even if their way of working gives results.
Karabiberov was the conditioning coach of the volleyball nationals for the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008. He led the conditioning training of a number of world-class champions such as Matei Kaziyski, Maria Grozdeva, Radoslav Yankov and Vladimir Zografski, the national volleyball and basketball teams, and also the world record holder and medalist of planetary championships for veterans Tsanko Tsankov - coach and one of the iconic leaders of NSK Olimp.
Karabiberov is also the holder of three patents for inventions of sports equipment.
