Together we are stronger! Water is our home, and swimming is our passion! We learned that with perseverance we can achieve anything. We learned to enjoy victories, but also to learn lessons from losses. We learned that sport is a way to build character, discipline and the will to win. We are full of ambition to continue developing, to attract new members and to help them realize their potential. Together we climbed to the top and overcame difficulties, taking a step forward in the development of the club and each of us.
Alex Stoynov - 12 years old, became the vice-champion of Bulgaria in the 100 m medley event during the national championship in the relevant age group.
Our first national champion. During the Republican Championship in Sofia, our coach and competitor Tsanko Tsankov came first in the 50m freestyle with a great personal best time of 22.80.
Two silver medals and a bronze from the World Veteran Swimming Championships for Tsanko Tsankov - competitor and coach in our club. At the same pool in Budapest, Tsanko returned 12 years after his participation in the European Junior Swimming Championships.
We welcome every competition with the idea of learning from it and building as competitors. The lessons we learned with the children during this year's competitions were that medals are earned during training and that a competitor must be so prepared that even if they swim at 85% of their ability, they can still achieve the goals they set for themselves!
This year we held sports camps at the Belmeken high-mountain base and in the town of Sandanski. The camps aimed to thoroughly study the elements - start, turn and underwater parts, improving aerobic capabilities and physical qualities. Of course, we also paid serious attention to discipline, respect, teamwork, tempering the sports character, everything related to the upbringing and building of children into good personalities. The Belmeken camp was very interesting for us, where we exchanged experience with other sports clubs and coaches. We climbed the "Zabcheto" peak, which is 2545m high. The way up was not easy at all, as is the way to the peaks in sports and life.
At the event in the Overgas Arena pool, at the end of the year, we gave the children the opportunity to assess their progress themselves, to experience the emotions during a competition, testing their strength in pre-established rules, clear conditions and a competitive environment. And then, why not, on Christmas, to wish themselves to become even better swimmers.
Through professional assessment to determine individual training heart rate zones, we can prepare a personal sports program for each child. Thanks to this opportunity, we will be even more precise in our work for the long-term development of our future athletes.
