All in Attitude!
This year we continued to dream boldly of being first and working as if we were last. Our first awards in tournaments became a fact, as did our guide "The Golden Rules in Swimming". It is a must-read for young and old who know that champions are not created through myths and legends, but with daily work, dedication, perseverance, self-control and self-discipline. We are proud that over the past few years our club has become a place where virtues are created: respect, tolerance, hard work, patience and teamwork.
At the National Championship for men and women in a 25-meter pool in Sofia, with an achievement of 604 FINA points in the 50m butterfly event, our coach and competitor Petar Ivanov ranked 6th with a time of 25.72 seconds.
On April 24, 2016, the traditional Sprint Cup tournament was held. For the fifth time in a row, 1st place in the team ranking was won by us.
At the Zamorata International Swimming Tournament, Alex Stoynov placed 3rd in the 50 m freestyle with a time of 32.15 in age group C - children born in 2006 and 2005. This is his second medal from an international competition.
For us, competitions are not just a sporting event, but an important stage in the development of a person. Especially the first competitions. They are a lesson in courage, excitement, determination and a test of will and spirit. A child who has faced his fears and swam with all his heart is a winner. Therefore, one of the main goals for this year, which we set for ourselves when we are together at a competition, was for the children to gain confidence that they can cope with the challenges.
Our mission is to build champions in the pool and in life. Children should be given the opportunity to overcome difficulties, and a sports camp is a great way for them to become more independent. We are happy to help children discover their potential and develop in their favorite sport. This year we chose to hold our camps in Sandanski and Kranevo, where together we focused on progress, set goals in an atmosphere of trust and support.
Children, parents, and friends of our club, participated in the club's first-ever internal swimming tournament, held on 18.12.2016 at the Overgas Arena sports center. 120 children participated in the competition. We hope this will be just the beginning of a long-standing club tradition.
